The Jerry Pergola project began with a simple goal: give an underused backyard a reason to be used every day. TAZWORX Construction designed and built a custom pergola that provides shade without closing off the space, using clean lines and quality lumber that complement the home’s existing architecture. We worked closely with the homeowner to determine the right size, orientation, and materials, positioning the structure to block afternoon sun while framing views of the yard.
Every post and beam was measured, cut, and joined by hand, so the finished pergola feels solid and built-in rather than assembled from a kit. Lighting and optional privacy panels were added to extend usability into the evening. The result is an outdoor living area the family now uses year-round, for dinners, gatherings, and quiet mornings, proof that thoughtful carpentry can transform how a home’s outdoor space actually gets lived in.
